Keoma (1976)
I believe there'll be more of a mix between Morricone and other composers from this point on. Hence dropping the "bonus" tag, here is the score for Enzo G. Castellari's late and violent 
western, Keoma. This one, and Sergio Martino's (somewhat successful) attempt at cashing in on it (Mannaja, 1977 - coming in the next post), could be considered to be the last dying breath of the italian westerns. Franco Nero stars as the half-breed who returns to his home city after the civil war, only to find it under control of a gang of vicious thugs. I think you can all imagine what happens. The score, composed by Guido and Maurizio De Angelis, is beautiful and haunting.

Thanks for the opportunity to hear this! I'm still not a fan of Guido and Maurizio, but they do grow on me... a bit.
I would love to see this again, but for now, this beautiful soundtrack will have to do. More westerns please!
